In class we were tasked to create a story that would convey a word to the audience. I was assigned the word "Appreciative."
My partner and I started brainstorming the best way to achieve this and decided on having two characters, one who was very sad, and one who wanted to help him. This is a picture of our brainstorming sheet:
We then created a storyboard with all the shots we were planning on doing. This helped us visualize how we would use different shots and angles. This helped us make the project more interesting because we realized that we could use different shots and they would convey the message we were tying to send more effectively. We used Adobe express to edit our project. It allowed us to put all the shots together. We used multiple shots/ counter shots and action matches.
I think we were able to show the audience that the characters were appreciative. We were mostly able to create a seamless transition from shot to shot. There are a few shots that I feel could have been smother. I also think that some scenes should have been longer. Despite this I think we did a good job with telling the story and making it easy to understand.
